DEFSTAND PC was proud to support the Course 24000 “Standardization as an Integral Part of Capability Delivery by NATO Allies and Partners” organized by the NATO MARITIME INTERDICTION OPERATIONS TRAINING CENTRE (NMIOTC).
The course was conducted on 01-05 December 2025 with the participation of 14 trainees from six (6) NATO Nations (Greece, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden).
DEFSTAND PC CEO Captain Hellenic Navy (ret) Nikolaos Myriounis, orchestrated the overall Course Curriculum, while DEFSTAND PC Associate Col DEU ARMY (ret) Dieter Schmaglowski led the case studies on the Implementation of Critical Standards stemming for the NATO Defence Planning Process.
AIM OF THE COURSE
The aim of the course is to provide comprehensive knowledge to facilitate understanding of the procedures for building up interoperable capabilities between NATO Allies and Partners. It specifically focuses on the identification and application of the necessary capabilities’ standardization requirements defined during the steps of the NATO Defence Planning Process (NDPP) and the Partners Review Process (PARP) and covers cover multiple practical examples with thorough contextual explanation.
TRAINING STRATEGY
Small Group Training Activities (i.e. syndicate work, case studies, etc.) culminating in practical Task Assessments (syndicate work presentations) to formally assess candidates’ performance.
The next iteration will be held in November 2026.
